Parents Evening – 14th March

Dear Parent and Carers,

This year our ‘Parents Evening’ will be remote and in person. We hope providing the option will offer all parents the flexibility to take part in this important review of your child’s progress at school.  The parents evening will take place on Monday 14th March 2022. However, tutors and teachers will offer the flexibility of alternative days for remote meetings, where this date is not convenient for families.

Option 1 -Remote Meetings

Remote meetings will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams; to enable the Tutor and Subject Teachers to meet with you virtually, you will be able to book a 10 minute slot between 3.45pm and 6.30pm on Monday 14th March (or in the agreed date). If you feel that you have something to discuss which requires more time then please use the space provided when you book and your child’s tutor will be in touch.

Please book your remote meeting by placing this request in the comments space provided by using the School Cloud link below.

Once the appointments have been allocated you will receive an email from your child’s tutor inviting you to join the meeting at your allocated time slot. You will need a device that can connect to the internet for the appointment to take place. If you do not have such a device then please let the school know and the Tutor can arrange a telephone conversation.

Once the appointment is made we would ask you to log on 10 minutes before your allotted time so that any issues can be ironed out.

Option 2- Face to Face Meetings

These will be held in your child’s classroom at Birch Wood Vale. Please click on the School Cloud Link below in order to be able to select your preferred time slots in school.  If you feel that you have something to discuss which requires more time then please contact your child’s tutor and they will try their best to accommodate you.

Booking will be open from Tuesday 8th March 2022.

What will happen at Parents Evening?

Subject Parents’ Evenings are designed to discuss how your son or daughter is progressing in their subject areas and in general. Teachers will be able to share examples of work that your child has completed.

We look forward to seeing you.

Yours sincerely
